Craig Hartsburg has announced that successful baseball cap model and part-time netminder Martin Gerber will make his return to the Senator crease Wednesday. It's been 11 games since Gerber last played a game, when he surrendered an overtime winner to his former team the Carolina Hurricanes and former Senators teammate Joe Corvo. Expect thrilling displays of soft wrist shots finding the back of the net, Gebrer's wide-eyed look of sheer panic, as well as the man's uncanny ability to move from out of to in position to out again in just one slide. Let's just hope he doesn't go all Al Capone and try to break anybody's fingers like he did last time he was there. (Sorry for the crappy video, t`was the only one I could find.)
