Not a ton of news on the hockey front for the Ottawa Senators. Prospect Jim O'Brien's World Junior Championship ride has come to an end. He was not a top six forward for the Americans, but I was still excited to see him play. He should be returning next year where he will most likely be expected to step into a top six role.
Cody Bass will be having season ending shoulder surgery. This is not a huge loss for the Senators provided Chris Neil remains healthy. Should Chris Neil fall to injury, I would be happy to see Jeremy Yablonski get a shot in the NHL and maybe have a fight or two.
