Just like a girl who gets all gussied up for prom and never gets called, the Senators are looking like a team renewed, but statistically do not have any real shot at getting into the post season. With eight consecutive games at home coming up, hopefully the Senators can string together a few wins and show the season ticket holders that next year will be better.

If Chris Neil wants $2 million per season, take a draft pick before the deadline and move on.Chris Neil can be replaced if he leaves. Fighters are only effective if they can find another player to fight with them. If they don't, they skate around like Gorges Laraque and look silly. If the Senators could somehow get a second rounder for Neil, I would be happy like this:

I would rather have comrie, as his hands and offensive minded thinking are sorely needed. Neil hits, fights and scores a handful of goals. The fights can be spread out as well as the hits.
