The Daily Wrap Up - Thursday February 26, 2009

Six days until the trade deadline!  this will really determine whether this year was all for draft picks and prospects, or all for nothing (because it's clearly not for the cup this year)

LFPress.ca - The price for Thomas Kaberle has been set, and it's not low.
In Burke’s opinion, any package for Kaberle would have to include, at the very least:

1. “A first-round draft pick.” 2. “A guy who could step in and play for our team right now.” 3. “A (highly-regarded) prospect.”

Said Burke today: “It would have to be a package like I paid to Edmonton for Chris Pronger.”
This really is good news for Ottawa because if they could get a first rounder, OR a top prospect and a second rounder for Filip Kuba, it would be a steal.  Kuba really is a poor man's Kaberle, and by Brian Burke setting the price tag so high for him, Kuba might be an attractive alternative at a reduced price.  Also, Christoph Schubert should be traded for a prospect given the rate set for Kaberle.  That is if anyone wants a defenseman with a heavy but inaccurate shot, and a proclivity for taking the dumbest penalties (and is a known ginger kid).  There has got to be a market for him somewhere.  I'm thinking Phoenix, who the Senators seem to always dump their useless parts on.

Hey, do you have any idea where to find a stream of the game tonight? I've been looking in all the regular places, but all the nhl seems to be gone. I live in Toronto and have no cable, so streams are my only source of Ottawa games.

I feel for you Tim. basically we stumbled upon atdhe.net but it looks like they no longer stream NHL games. So we are looking for a link as well.
