The Daily Wrap Up - Monday February 23, 2009

What a great weekend! Hockey day in Canada just cannot be beat, especially when it involves a keg of beer, pizza and some foosball.

Unfortunately the Senators got blown out by Montreal, but Chris Campoli made a nice debut, and Mike Comrie looked to still be the offensive spark he was a few years ago.

Don't forget the trade deadline is on March 4th, so be sure to take the day off! We'll give your boss a call if need be.

RotoWorld - Cory Clouston is losing confidence in Brian Elliott.
Ottawa coach Cory Clouston has pulled Brian Elliott twice in the Senators' last five games.
It looks as if things are unravelling for the rookie goalie and that Coulston, who coached Elliott in Binghamton of the AHL, may be losing a little confidence in the youngster. Look for Alex Auld to get the team's next start. Keep an eye on this situation going forward.
Brian Elliott has been pulled from games where the team was allowing far too many good scoring opportunities. The team has not played well in front of him those two games, and it was simply a way for Cory Clouston to try and get a reaction from the team. Not to mention that pulling a goalie from a game that was getting out of hand might have saved his confidence.

How did you guys end up spending hockey day in Canada?
