The Daily Wrap Up - Tuesday February 24, 2009

With the trade deadline coming up quickly, moves will be made by Bryan Murray to acquire prospects or picks.  He has made no movement with summer UFA's Chris Neil, Filip Kuba and Mike Comrie but insists that they will not walk away for nothing.  Comrie can be expected to re-sign, and with the other two, well don't be surprised to see them in new uniforms sometime soon.

Sportsnet.ca - The weekly power rankings are out, and just as surprising that Brianna Banks not being a virgin, the Senators dropped in this week's edition.  They drop was from 25 to 26.  Shocking, wasn't it?
The Senators finally get a rushing defenceman, Chris Campoli, but only time will tell if they paid too high a price (first-round pick) to acquire him.
This is what happens when you lose three of four games in a week.  The Senators are now officially off the "new coach" high, and from here till the end of the season will really demonstrate what Cory Clouston can get out of them.  If the answer is not much, then we'll wave Cory goodbye, but if he can stay above .500 then I would suspect him being around to start next season.  Pretty simple premise here, but I think logic should always be followed.
